“JOEL DODDS MACHINE TUNING SEMINAR”
This class is a hands on machine seminar, and will cover machine tuning and, machine trouble shooting. Please bring the machines you wish to work on and a power supply. Price is $160.
“REAL-IZING OILS” (Josh Reynolds)
This course is for both beginner and advanced artists. Josh Reynolds will take you through his entire painting process, covering the tools and mediums he uses as he works from photo reference. He will share his approach to oil painting, using techniques that he has learned throughout his career as an artist. He will cover painting with warm and cool tones to achieve realism in your work. The participants of this course will also receive an instructional DVD that covers this process. Approx 2hrs $160. No materials are needed.
“LETTERING MY WAY” (Tony Medellin)
This course will teach you the basics of lettering and lettering structure for fonts. You will learn everything from composition to execution, placement and flow. Tony will also teach you about mapping areas for placement and most importantly, his formulas for creating your own fonts. All participants will receive 2 sheets of graph paper, one crimson red pencil and a Tony Medellin lettering sketchbook. Approx 2hrs $200.
DR SKETCHY’S ANTI ART SCHOOL TATTOO SKETCH
Three models dressed as common tattoo subject matter, a geisha, gypsy, and pin-up girl, will pose for your sketching/painting/sculpting/writing pleasure. $7 entry fee or, free with a purchased SATURDAY convention day pass. Please bring your own art supplies. sketch contests and prizes.
Also, keep in mind, drinking is not only allowed…. it’s encouraged.
BIG HANDS & BAD FINGER WAVES “Cautionary Tales & Q&A with Craig Driscoll” (Craig Driscoll)
Come join Craig Driscoll for an afternoon of education, bad jokes, rap songs and debauchery in a seminar covering everything from sleeve layout to painting prep. This is a hands on course with subject matter decided by you. Please bring your tattoo portfolio and a notebook. Due to time constraints I may not be able to address every question in the room, but I will try to cover as many topics as possible.
